Myopia ("nearsightedness")
When a person has myopia, they are said to be nearsighted. A nearsighted person sees better at near than
far away. The most common reason for this is when the length of the eyeball (front-to-back) is too long.
Light rays coming in will then focus in front of their target (the retina).
Myopia is corrected using prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses that bend the incoming light to land
directly on the retina.
